Amaia Brooke is a member of the LGBTQ+ community and identifies as queer. Disowned from her family after coming out to them as an adult, she embarked on a healing journey.
She decided to use the healing of that experience to write a children’s story that offers visibility, love, and acceptance for LGBTQ+ youth.
She wants to empower those who may be experiencing bullying from peers or rejection from family to know- There is nothing wrong with who you are, it is most definitely not your fault, and to fiercely love and accept yourselves regardless.
